Hello my friends! It’s been a while!
I’m still getting my miles in and looking forward to finishing 2017 strong. There are less than 77 days left in the year and I plan to make everyday count. At the beginning of the year I set a goal to run 1100+ miles by the end of 2017. Year to date I ran 1072 miles. I’m on track to exceed my goal. Based on my current training regimen, I should end the year right around 1300 miles. In 2013 I ran a total of 1268 miles. It would be so awesome to set a new record 🏃🏾😀
I started a new strength training and running routine that I designed earlier this year. It’s designed to get me lean and fit while at the same time improving my overall running.
Below is my new training schedule:
Monday – Quads, Hamstrings, Calves, and a 3-4 mile run
Tuesday – Chest, Back, and a 3-4 mile run
Wednesday – 5-7 mile run
Thursday – Shoulders, Abs, and a 3-4 mile run
Friday – Triceps, Bicepts and a 3-4 mile run
Saturday – Full Body Routine and a 4-5 mile run
Sunday – Rest & Meal Prep
This will be my training schedule until the end of the year. At the start of 2018 I will review my results and make any necessary adjustsments.
