Hello my friends! This past weekend I ran in the Dexter to Ann Arbor Half Marathon. The weather cooperated and did not rain as predicted in the forecast. I ran this race back in 2015 and it rained heavily the entire race.
The Dexter to Ann Arbor is a point to point race. The race starts in Dexter, Michigan and finishes in Ann Arbor, Michigan. All runners participating in the half marathon were bused to the start of the race in yellow school buses 🚌. The bus ride was a little over 20 minutes.
Most of the course takes you along Huron River with lots of rolling hills. Aid stations were placed every two miles during the first half and then about every mile for the second half.
There were plenty of volunteers and spectators lined the course in key spots.
Around mile 7 a deer 🦌 darted out and ran across the road and hit a female runner. It was quite the sight. Luckily the female runner was not injured.
My goal was to finish and I did not look at my watch much during the race. I finished the race and collected a cool medal.
This was my 41st half marathon. Half marathon #42 is coming up in 2 weeks. I’ll be running in the Seattle Rock & Roll Marathon.
Until next time my friends! Be more, Do more! Let’s Go!
