Staying Focused 

Happy Monday! 

In typical fashion I got the week started with a weight training session and a run. 

During my run today, I thought about the importance of getting super focused on my goals and following my plan. It is so easy to get distracted in today’s world. There are so many things that can derail your progress when working towards your goals. Having a laser sharp focus and a solid plan to execute is key. It’s a major key 🔑! I had to steal that one from DJ Khaled 😀

In order to stay focused I keep my goals in front of me constantly and regularly monitor my progress. This practice has been very beneficial in both my professional and personal life. In addition, I find it best to always work from a plan. Winging it has not brought me great results in the past and does not provide the necessary discipline to accomplish my goals. 

Lastly, stop over thinking it and just take action! Sometimes, I find myself thinking my way out of things and going off course many times.

Distance: 3.1 miles (5K)

Average pace: 8:15/mile 

Duration: 30minutes (included warm up and cool down) 

Miles YTD: 27.1 miles
